PE sporting success

NEWS  SENIOR SCHOOL , PHYSICAL EDUCATION

The PE Dept were delighted to host U13 teams St. Michaels, Jersey last week.

It was a brilliant day of sport with hockey in the morning and netball in the afternoon. We have asked the girls involved to tell us more about each match.

Final scores and "Player of the Match" as voted by the opposition are as follows:

A team Hockey 4-4, POM - Claudia
TLC took an early lead and created lots of chances up front. In defence, the St. Michaels applied pressure throughout the match, seeing many shots saved by the ever-improving GK, Hattie. TLC also saved shots off the line and a few off the post. St. Michaels equalised on the final play of the game for a well-deserved draw.

B team Hockey 0-6, POM - Orla
An inexperienced but enthusiastic TLC team showed great progress throughout the match. After 15 mins an impressive St. Michaels attack put them 4 - 0 up. With a change of formation, more structure in defence and ever improving skills, TLC created lots of goal scoring opportunities and only conceded 2 goals in the final 45 mins.

A team Netball 15-10, POM - Belle
A strong start by TLC set the tone for the match. Strong, accurate passing throughout the court, with great movement in the D by the shooters, made an early lead difficult to overturn, despite a strong showing from St. Michaels.

B team Netball 10-20 POM - Phoebe
A strong midcourt combination played very well against a quality St. Michaels opposition. Their shooters were on fine form and rarely missed resulting in a very high scoring match. TLC never gave up and continued to enjoy many attacking opportunities, until the final whistle.
