150th Celebrations Music Commission
As part of our 150th celebrations, a commission has been written and performed. The music department has been working with Amy Summers to produce this new work and students have been involved in contributing ideas. The lyrics were sent to Amy and form part of the final piece.
Amy is a British composer and orchestrator composing for a wide range of setting including choral music and therefore the ideal person to write our commission. Conversations commenced in 2021 regarding this new work, the first performance took place at our commemoration service and since then the junior and senior motets have filmed this piece in St. Stephens Church. Further performances were heard at the Celebration Ball on the 11th February and at the Spring Concert on the 14th March.
