Lower Sixth Induction
Last week we welcomed our new Lower Sixth. The girls were given a two day induction in order to make a smooth transition into Sixth Form.
On Thursday the girls met their tutors, took a tour around Elizabeth College and listened to an excellent presentation about the extra-curricular activities on offer at Sixth Form, (many thanks to Pamplemousse Young Enterprise team for their presentation and enthusiasm). On Friday the girls spent the morning at Elizabeth College. Adam Burroughs from The HUB came in to speak to the students about their online profile and the importance of using online social media sensibly. Many thanks to 'Positively Mad Productions' for popping over from the UK to run a workshop on 'Bridging the Gap' between GCSE and A-level in the afternoon.
Students finished the transition days by taking part in team building activities at Rue Mainguy with Outdoor Guernsey. The sun shone and everyone had fun. It was a fantastic way to end two busy, informative days.
Thank you to the girls for their enthusiasm and adventurous spirit, particularly with the team building, which encouraged them to take risks and helped them to appreciate that they can gain a lot from being proactive. We hope you are as excited about being in Sixth Form as we are having you here!
