Upper Four on the beach
Upper Four girls spent an afternoon at Vazon Bay looking at coastal defenses and the problem of rising sea levels. The Geography Field Trip took in the length of the bay from Fort Richmond to Fort Hommet.
The girls discussed what Guernsey may need to do if sea levels rise due to global warming and compared sand dune protection (soft engineering) to concrete and stone defenses (hard engineering). A great way to bring a text book to life!
