On Wednesday our 'Beans' took part in the Eisteddfod in the group poem section. They spoke absolutely fantastically, and loved having mud on their clothes, faces and hands and leaves in their hair all adding to the poem entitled 'Dirt on My Shirt'.
Wow! What a fun week Melrose have had at the Music Eisteddfod. Lovely comments throughout the week with trophies for Junior Choir, Handbells and Recorder Groups on top of some sterling solo performances.

Melrose girls attended Government House on Wednesday 15th February, to collect their certificates, wrist bands and photographs for raising £1651.50 to help 3 orphaned bears through the Walk For Wildlife and Born Free Foundation.

Form III have been exploring personification and the use of similes and metaphors to describe weather. They have been amazed by how effective this can be to create a more vivid picture for the reader.
They completed this by producing some stunning impressionist art to complement their writing.
