Dads Drive for Daughters

In aid of A Gift for Learning we held an exciting event on Sunday 11th June at Karting Guernsey, inviting parents from The Ladies' College to put a team of drivers together for an endurance karting afternoon.

Nine teams took part, ranging from dads of Pre-Prep to grandads and dads of recent leavers.  Companies represented included, Babbé, Mourant Ozannes, PWC, Specsavers and Deloitte, amongst others.  Lots of fun was had by all and it turned into a very competitive afternoon.  The sun shone, and families came down to support the drivers.  The event was sponsored by Jacksons who had on show three luxury cars and Sueco provided the catering.  After two hours of endurance driving the winning team was from Safferys.

We plan to hold this event again next year as it proved to be such fun.  £3000 was raised from the event which will go towards the 'A Gift for Learning Phase 3' campaign.
