Music - Activities

Music-making is at the heart of what we do and we aim to offer a broad range of activities.  We are always keen to hear from the girls if they have ideas for new groups they would like to see in college.

Currently, the following groups meet each week:

• Junior Choir.  Open to all girls in Remove to Upper 4
• Junior Motet Choir.  An auditioned group for  girls in Remove to Lower 5
• Senior Choir. Open to all girls in Upper Five to Upper Six
• Junior wind band. For wind, brass and percussion players up to Grade Four standard.
• Junior strings. For string players up to Grade Four standard.
• Senior string orchestra. For Grade 5 and above players
• Senior wind Band. For Grade 5 and above players
• Hand Bell team. For our more experienced musicians.
• Saxophone group. For all grade 3 + saxophone players
• Ukulele group. Open to all girls across the age range.
• String quartet. A flexible group of our more advanced musicians interested in performing at private functions.

We are currently discussing the possibility of a setting-up a link with a local rock school so that girls who are interested in forming their own groups can receive expert support.
