Science - Activites
Science club is run for Remove to Upper Four. Girls have the opportunity to gain Crest Awards, go out to primary schools with a Science road show, and help run a Science tent on Liberation day on the pier.
In Lower Five, students are entered for the Biology Challenge, and have the opportunity to go on Chemistry camps.
In Sixth form our science students have the opportunity to enter the science Olympiads and the Chemistry L6 students also take the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
Outreach events for science have included a primary day "Journey to Mars" "Scholar Antiquorum" and "Sarnia Cyphers". Upper Four and Lower Five have had the opportunity to attend a RSC sponsored Medicinal Chemistry Day, Astronomy day and two days of outreach centred around the Atmosphere by the University of Bristol. These outreach events include pupils from all the island's schools.
