Maths - Activities
The College subscribes to MyMaths which is an interactive website. Each student has her own personal log in and password and can work at her own pace on tasks set by the teacher both in College and at home. It is also a useful revision tool.
Girls at all ages in the school are entered for the National Mathematics Competitions for both individuals and teams promoted by the UKMT. The College has close links with BWCI – the largest Actuarial Company based in the Channel Islands which sponsors these events as well as awarding prizes for Further Mathematics. They also support Plymouth University in their annual visits to Guernsey for Mathematics Master Classes.
In addition to the clinics, there is a Maths Club run weekly at lunchtime where pupils can explore the wider world of mathematics and enjoy puzzles and games. The College also enter teams and individuals for the National Cipher Challenge run by Southampton University in the Michaelmas term.
