Melrose is now adopting the Rising Stars ICT scheme which is feeding up through the Preps and then on into the Juniors. It was chosen for its range of topics and activities which cover the main requirements of the ICT curriculum.

We also recognise the importance of ICT skills and make use of many opportunities to use these in other areas of the curriculum to support this learning. For example, Junior girls complete a touch typing course, which is a valuable skill to gain and use throughout school and beyond.

Melrose also understands the importance of E-Safety and this is something that is reinforced throughout the school. Whether it is in ICT lessons, PSHEE or assemblies, we help the girls to understand how to ensure that they are able to enjoy the use of technology safely.
