Pathways

A new way to think about Sixth Form education

You can achieve more than just A-Levels

Launched in 2024, our innovative Pathways curriculum represents a bold step forward in preparing our Sixth Form students for the future.

Building on The Ladies' College's longstanding commitment to independent thought and leadership, Pathways is a parallel curriculum designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the 21st century.

Building skills for the future world

At the heart of Pathways lies the commitment to providing students with genuine experiences that will engender personal development and build the skills and attributes we believe will be important to thrive in our future world.

Working with key stakeholders and partners in the community, including leading local businesses, UK schools and universities, our parallel curriculum will create unique opportunities for our students.

This personal growth will be grounded in expert mentoring and unwavering support alongside their traditional studies. We are dedicated to empowering students with the resources and support necessary to achieve their goals and confidently embark on their journey as young adults.

What are the benefits of Pathways?

Together, we will shape tomorrow's leaders, innovators, pioneers and changemakers, ensuring that they are well-prepared and equipped to make a difference in the world beyond their educational journey.

Students will learn key skills to:

  • Understand themselves, their future and the world around them

  • Adapt to be able to create, critique and innovate

  • Influence in order to collaborate and lead

I'm a two-time AI operator turned venture capital investor who runs unbundled vc. I studied Maths at Trinity College, Cambridge, before going on to work in financial markets, where I built AI-driven, fully automated trading systems and, on the side, the world's best poker AI.
Now I invest in early-stage software tech startups with an AI focus, including Runna, which was just bought by Strava.
In my spare time, I do improv and standup because I enjoy them and because they're hard. I'm a great believer that putting yourself in difficult situations drives personal growth.
I got involved with the Pathways Program because, as an investor, I know what skills I value in founders, and they're not the academic ones. I want to help students develop the skills that matter to unlock personal and career growth.

As an alumna of The Ladies’ College, I’m proud to return as a Pathway Partner through both the Science and Business strands of the programme. I run Concise, a data consultancy I founded to help businesses get value from their data through analytics, automation, and AI. During the first term of Pathways, I shared my entrepreneurial journey with students, including the challenges, lessons, and unexpected moments along the way.
For the Science Pathway, we explored a real dataset and a tangible problem to solve, using industry-standard tools like Excel and Power BI and, crucially, learning how to ask the right questions of the data.
The Pathways Programme is a bold step forward from the more traditional approach I experienced as a student. It empowers students to explore careers through hands-on learning and real-life connections, and I’m delighted to support the next generation as they navigate what comes next.
