Monachan Memorial Trophy
On Wednesday 3rd April it was the final of our annual Monachan Memorial Trophy for public speaking.
All of the Upper Four students have worked exceptionally hard on this unit of work, producing talks of a high quality and covering a diverse range of topical subjects. The finalists were: Ameilia, Victoria, Julia, Rosie, Isable and Lauren who all performed in front of their peers along with the English faculty staff. It was a very close competition with some exceptional examples of public speaking, but the overall winner was Lauren with her talk on 'Youth Groups' all about her own involvement in the Guides and what she has gained from it.
Our thanks go to Mr King for his assistance with judging this enjoyable competition, and to Mrs Monachan, for her continuing sponsorship and support of this event.
