Lower Junior Activities Week

NEWS  MELROSE

Tuesday 27th June

A rather soggy day today, but the girls didn’t let that put them off! Armed with all the necessary protection from the elements the girls launched themselves into; archery, coasteering, crate stacking, bush craft (with a little bit of den building thrown in!) and kayaking outdoors as well as indoor climbing at Rue Maingy.

Well done to Clara Bracegirdle and Lara Gavey who hold the current crate stacking record of 9 crates… I wonder if tomorrow’s group can find a way to improve on that? Initiative and resilience will certainly be required! Amice Anderson and Ealish Platt-Ransom showed a natural flair for archery; whilst Eleanor Hopkins and Sophia Eisenhuth tackled the climbing wall with impressive skill and sheer determination.

We are sad that it is our final day with Outdoor Guernsey tomorrow, but we are looking forward to surfing and sailing our way to the end of the week. Some more sunshine would be a much welcome added bonus!
