This advent, the prefect team want to carry out an act of kindness. They have decided to involve the whole school in giving back this Christmas. Over the years the Sixth Form have contributed to the Tumaini Fund and in this tradition, they have decided to do a reverse advent calendar! Every person in each form is assigned to one day in December and instead of taking they are asked to give one item, such as a pair of socks, a toothbrush or hairband and pop it in their assigned section of the advent calendar. By the end of it, each form group will have their own collection of items to pack up and send to underprivileged children in Tanzania.
On Sunday afternoon the prefects gathered in the Leaf Centre to create the 22 advent calendars to hang in every tutor room throughout the school. Each calendar is handmade with the specific tutor group name lovingly stitched on. It was a great Christmassy start to advent. Thank you.
