Welcome!
For over 150 years, The Ladies’ College has carved out space for the voices and ideas of young women. From doctors and engineers to writers, carers, journalists, lawyers and tech entrepreneurs, generations of girls have gone on to shape the world for better.
Today, our corridors are full of laugher and our classrooms are full of conversation. Relationships and community are fundamental to who we are, and central to a culture in which students can be brave, take risks and build their sense of self.
Our teachers are passionate about sharing their subjects. They create space for the scientist and the artist, the thoughtful reader and bold debater, the problem solver and the relationship builder, and the leader as well as the listener.

Welcome to Melrose, where kindness is the cornerstone of everything we do. Our vibrant community empowers our girls with confidence, promotes joy and a love for learning. It encourages children to explore their talents while valuing the qualities of others.
Our goal is to inspire our girls to be the best version of themselves. As a parent myself, I understand the desire to see your children stay young and protected for as long as possible, but also recognise the importance of preparing them to navigate the complexities of our rapidly changing world.

Living and working in Guernsey
There are many reasons why Guernsey is a popular holiday destination. For those lucky enough to live here, it can offer a truly wonderful life.
The beautiful beaches, warm climate, and peaceful cliffs all make Guernsey a very special place. Add to that a low crime rate, excellent healthcare, low taxes, and constant, easy access to the sea. Naturally, life here revolves around the water—enjoying time on and in it is effortless, all year round if you're hardy enough. Or you can simply sit in one of Guernsey's many varied bars and restaurants and enjoy the sea view.
For children, it’s an easy and safe place to grow up. Our girls and their families enjoy a kind of freedom now almost lost in the UK. Many people want to come and live in Guernsey—but only a few are lucky enough to do so.
