A purpose built space for early learning

Nestled in Melrose's garden and surrounded by trees, our Pre-School offers a fun, nurturing, and stimulating setting where the focus is on providing a ‘learning through play’ environment to develop each child’s individual interests and abilities.

Our experienced and caring staff help each child to develop a love of learning, making sure they feel valued and encouraged every step of the way. Working in partnership with parents is important to us, as we believe that a strong sense of belonging is built through open communication and collaboration. Our door is always open.

Learning through play and exploration

We offer outstanding facilities that extend beyond the classroom, giving children the freedom to explore their world through play, discovery, and creativity - both indoors and outdoors - allowing them to flourish.

Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, and joy in learning. In addition to a rich Early Years programme, we also make time for weekly swimming, music, French and dance as well as regular educational visits and Forest and Beach School sessions.

A smooth transition to ‘Big School’

With all stages of education located on one campus, children move seamlessly from Pre-School to Lower Prep (Reception), from Upper Prep (Year 2) into Junior Remove (Year 3) and then onto The Ladies’ College Senior School. Making the transition into ‘big school’ smooth and reassuring, giving children the foundation they need to thrive.
