Scale of Giving

Ladies College Guernsey
This details how givers can contribute effectively to the Campaign.

The College can claim the tax back on annual gifts of between £500 and £5,000 in a calendar year. For every qualifying £100 the charity can claim £25 from the Director of Income Tax.

Therefore a pledge of £5,000 in a calendar year could turn a £25,000 pledge into a gift of £31,250.

We also have naming opportunities for those who are interested.

All great schools throughout the centuries have grown and flourished through the philanthropy of individuals who care about their future. Therefore, we are offering our Major Benefactors (£25,000+) the opportunity to take a Naming Opportunity which will in turn help foster of culture of giving at the Ladies’ College for now and the future.

That said, every gift will be acknowledged and gratefully received regardless of amount.

A Gift for Learning Campaign ....Success so far:

The success of the Campaign can be largely attributed to our committed group of voluntary Campaign Board Members, led by Dame Mary Perkins.  These are a group of Parents, Governors and Old Girls who have individually supported the campaign and used their influence and contacts with the wider college community to get us to £1,050,360.02.

Over the next term there will be a series of 10 information events, hosted by campaign board members for parents and Old Girls to find out how they can become involved. It is our intention that all parents will be invited to an event. Please see A Gift for Learning Campaign page for event details.
