Welcome to the Ladies' College Pre-School
As parents you understand the importance of giving your daughter the best possible start in life. You want her to feel valued and secure so that she is free to play and learn. You know instinctively that her early educational experiences will affect her attitude to learning for life.
The Ladies' College Pre-School is a great place to start. Our qualified, experienced and dedicated staff ensure that from day one your daughter is treated as the individual she is. We will share her excitement as she discovers the world around her and praise her both for her efforts and her achievements. We are specialists in educating girls and whatever your daughter’s interests and talents we will find and develop them.
The Early Years Curriculum
At The Ladies' College Pre-School we plan challenging activities for your daughter designed to promote the following six areas of learning:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication, Language and Literacy
- Mathematical Development
- Knowledge and Understanding of the World
- Creative Development
- Physical Development
We also provide specialist teachers for weekly sessions in Swimming, Tiny Tot Fitness, Ballet and French.
Where to Find Us
The Ladies’ College is conveniently situated on Les Gravees, one of the main roads into St Peter Port allowing for an easy drop-off point for those parents heading into town for work. Our Pre-School can be found on the ground floor of Melrose House, set within beautiful south facing gardens. The accommodation provides a secure learning environment for both indoor and outdoor play. It also allows easy access to shared facilities such as the kitchen and gymnasium.
Pre-School Hours
Morning Session - 08.45 - 12.10
Afternoon Session - 13.30 - 14.45
Whole Day including cooked lunch - 08.45 - 14.45
Our Nursery Class accepts girls from the age of two, as soon as they are dry and they can continue with us until the September after their fourth birthday when they can join our Lower Preparatory class if they wish to do so.
