UK Christian songwriter pays surprise visit to Sixth Form
Last Friday the Sixth Form was lucky enough to have a visit from the prolific Christian singer, songwriter Graham Kendrick.
"We weren’t told who was going to be speaking to us in our usual tutor time session and had to ask him questions to guess who he was and why he had come to speak to us. We soon discovered who he was and realised we knew some of his work very well. He is most famous for writing the hymn ‘Shine, Jesus, Shine’ which was said to be a “Ladies’ College Classic”. He was a good speaker and answered our question in depth and with interesting answers.
We didn’t even notice that it had overrun into break as we asked the last few questions about his song writing technique and beliefs." Maisie, Upper Sixth student enjoyed his visit along with all her fellow students. The visit was organised by Mr Henderson pictured here with Graham.
