Sponge throwing for Charity

Yet again Melrose have shown amazing generosity to a wonderful local charity - Les Bourgs Hospice.

Given the chance to buy sponges to throw at Mrs Morris,  Melrose girls and parents dug deep into their pockets, wallets and purses to pledge over £900 - well over 250 sponges.

Form III made cakes to sell and these made nearly £100.

Luckily the sun shone and though Mrs Morris was soaked through everyone else stayed warm and fairly dry!

Mrs Morris exclaimed that she was delighted to give girls the chance to raise money and have a great time soaking a teacher.
