Melrose football match

On Wednesday 14th October, the Melrose football team played a match again LMDC. The girls were up against a tough team but it really was a case of two halves. In the first half the Melrose team fought bravely but by half-time were 4-1 down. After a clearly inspirational pep talk the girls were exceptional in the second half with Hattie Clayton scoring a hat-trick to level the scores. It was only in the final few minutes that the opposition scored again making it 5-4. A thrilling game to watch and a fantastic effort by the Melrose girls!
