Melrose girls swim for Playground
Melrose completely decamped to Beau Sejour last Friday to take part in the great Guernsey tradition that is the Swimarathon.
All girls from Lower Prep to Form III took part. The Junior girls all swam in their Houses, each working as a team and supporting each other. The Preparatory girls swam in the small pool, thoroughly enjoying the whole experience of swimming for an hour and being part of a team. Upper Prep, feeling brave, took to the big pool for the hour, with the aid of Miss Kinley and Mrs Reynolds in the pool with them just in case! But all rose to the challenge and completed length after length. They all had an amazing time.
With the generous sponsorship of friends and family, we hope our Melrose girls have raised more than £2500 to help towards the new Sausmarez Park Playground Appeal, something that our girls are very passionate about supporting.
All Melrose staff and parents are very proud of our girls for doing so well.
